London-based artist Liorah Tchiprout’s works explore girlhood, belonging, and the theatrical, underpinned by a rigorous practice of drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. She draws inspiration from Yiddish literature and Jewish culture, creating lifelike dolls using human hair and handmade clothing, which she then uses as models in her paintings, merging the imaginary with the real.

Liorah received her MA from Camberwell College of Art and her BA from the University of Brighton. Her solo exhibitions include, "Two Eyes Wide Open at the Edge of Dawn" (2023) and "All Things are Kneeling." (2022) She has been shortlisted for numerous prizes and her works are part of prestigious collections. Liorah is scheduled to have her first solo exhibition August 30 - September 28, 2024 at the Pippy Houldsworth Gallery, which has announced it will be representing the artist.
